Bottom Cleaning
Bottom cleaning is essential because it increases the efficiency and performance of your vessel. The money saved on fuel often covers the cost of cleaning. Cleaning is also critical for racing sailboats because a smooth bottom performs better.
Most boats in Marina del Rey are cleaned monthly. That can however, vary because of the condition of the bottom paint and the time of year (water temperature). S and K divers are trained to match the cleaning materials to the specific condition of the anti-fouling paint of each boat thus reducing unnecessary pollution and maximizing the life of the paint. We use several grades of 3M cleaning pads to get the best possible clean while preserving the life of your bottom paint. We have been very successful in reducing expensive haul-outs and many of our customers have bottom paint last for three years.
